This blog is designed for people to discuss the positive effects of music. Music is therapy if you use it in the right way. “Music hath charms to soothe a savage breast.” “To soften Rocks, or bend a knotted Oak.”

When you're sad or depressed, what kind of music puts you back on track?
Well, it depends on which it is. When I'm depressed, oftentimes church or religious music helps me to feel better. Singing and praising God and everything He has done for me helps me to recognize the insignificance of my problems. When I'm sad and need a pick up, I'll listen to some rock music. Just a quick beat and I'm feeling better.
I totally agree with you on church or religious music when depressed but I listen to R&B, Soul, or Disco when I need a pick me up! I truly thank God for everything but especially for His gift of music!
